Our home

We have a lovely house, just outside the historic town of Winchester, in very attractive countryside. It is very light, with lots of windows and views of the garden and landscape beyond. The accommodation includes a master bedroom with en suite bathroom, two children’s bedrooms, family bathroom, office, three living rooms and a spacious modern kitchen.

The large, secluded garden is very tranquil and backs onto open fields. There are views of woodland beyond the fields, and we have many trees, flowerbeds and a large area of lawn.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Winchester is a very attractive, small city, with a famous cathedral and many fine buildings. It was once the capital of England (1066) so has plenty of history. We are situated in some of the finest countryside in England with many picturesque villages, thatched cottages, historic houses and gardens, and miles and miles of trails/footpaths.

Within an hour you can be in London by train, or drive to many other famous places such as Oxford, Stonehenge, Salisbury, the South coast (Southampton, Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight) or the New Forest National Park – the largest tract of wilderness left in lowland England. There are lots of children’s attractions such as Legoland (45 mins), Marwell Zoo and several theme parks.

The historic city of Bath is about 1 ½ hours by car and Wales is about 2 hours. Winchester station has a direct link to London Waterloo station (55 mins), where you can then catch a train by Eurostar to Paris or Brussels (3 hours). Heathrow airport is about 50 mins by car.
