Our home

Our house is well-appointed, spacious and comfortable. Upstairs we have four bedrooms and two full baths. The main level is the living room, dining room, kitchen, family room, sun room, study, and a half bath. The basement is a large play room, bedroom, and half bath. High speed internet, two computers, three fireplaces, one queen bed, 2 doubles, 3 singles, 1 double sofa bed in private study. We have a membership to neighborhood pool.

Our back yard is enormous with a deck, grill. At the top of the rolling hill you will find a vegatable garden, large play structure and treehouse for children.

Property features

Who we are

  1. Richard and Sandra are both lawyers (he prosecutes environmental crime and she is a public defender). Our children are Isabel (9, budding singer/actress), Gabriel (7, budding scientist, harry potter obsessed), and Rachel (4, confirmed princess/fashion queen). We love to travel! We will go anywhere that we can take the kids during school holidays (March/April, June, July and August, December, and long weekends). The children are well-behaved, kind and gentle. We adopted our youngest daughter from Mumbia, India so we have a special interest in that destination, but we are up for anything at all.

Your neighbourhood

We live in a lovely small town (Kensington, MD) just 4.5 miles outside of Washington, D.C. You can drive (our cars) to Washington in 13 minutes, or you can drive one mile to the metro and be in the heart of the museums (almost all free), monuments, Capital, White House, restaurants, theaters, clubs, shops, in 15 minutes. We can give you ideas about things to do and see. New York City is a 3 hour train ride away. The ocean is 2 hours, Amish country in Pennsylvania is 1.5 hours, Historic Williamsburg is 3 hours. You may use our cars.

Our little town is pretty, green and friendly. From our house, you can easily walk (5 minutes) to antique shops and cafes. In the summer months we have a farmer's market and outdoor concerts.
