Our home

Our home is open, spacious and simple with a colorful ambiance. We are located thirty miles from Taos, NM in the postoffice/mom & pop grocery store only, town of Carson, NM. Carson is just West of the Rio Grande River gorge.
Our home is off the electric grid but adequetly powered by solar with a battery bank which supplies the house with 110 AC.

Property features

Who we are

  1. Merilee and I are retired educators. Merilee is an artist and I dabble in woodworking and flyfishing.
I want to see the South Pacific and Merilee Europe. I would enjoy the history and culture wherever I go. Merilee enjoys the natural beauty and arts and I do too.
We believe in a change of venue from time to time.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We have nearby neighbors, friendly and helpful but not seen or heard as we are in the midlle of about 100 acres (our 20 plus the neighbors).
Our home has a magnificent view of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, and at night, the lights of Taos.
Our home would serve as a base for touring Santa fe, NM, 1 and 1/2 hours South. Southern Colorado is the same time away, North. Twenty Native America pueblos are within three hours, one, of course, in nearbyTaos.
Sking at Taos Ski Valley, in the Sangre de Christo MTS., 1 and 1/2 hours away, offers superb dry powder. Colorado ski areas are within easy reach as are world class hot springs ( NM & CO).
Trout streams are within a two hour drive. Winter fishing for Muskies in the Rio Grande, 30 minutes away.
