Our home

Our home was built in 1941 and was well taken care of by the original owner before we purchased in 2001. It is clean and comfortable, and includes a daylight basement that we recently refinished with a family room and bathroom. The family room has a double bed. The main floor has 2 bedrooms--one with a queen sized bed and the other with 2 single beds. The kitchen has a breakfast nook. The living room opens to a dining room and has a view of the back yard and the city beyond. The inviting back yard has a picnic table, a pond, and a small garden.

Who we are

  1. We are Mary Ann and Andy, a married couple in our forties. We are both professionals (Andy is a mechanical engineer and I am a certified public accountant). We have 2 small children and are very excited to visit New York City for a week or two. We would like to find someone who desires to visit Seattle! We are a clean and conscious family that will treat your home with great care and hope you will do the same.

In 2017, we would like to move to New York City for one year and are interested in doing a home exchange.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our neighborhood is a mixture of young and old families, and very friendly. We are one-half mile from a grocery store and local shopping, and 3 blocks from the bus stop. Our home is in an ideal location for visiting Seattle and/or touring the Pacific Northwest. Seattle has fabulous restaurants, music and art, and lots of shopping. Don't forget to visit the Space Needle, built for the 1962 World's Fair in Seattle. You can catch a ferry boat ride to one of the islands in Puget Sound, drive just one hour to the Cascade Mountains (a visit to the majestic Mount Rainier is a bit longer drive), or visit Alki Beach 2 miles away.
