Our home

Everyone who enters my home feels how special it is. Thick adobe walls & vigas. Open kitchen/living room/dining room with fireplace. Artfully and comfortably decorated.Much of the artwork are originals, mine as well as others. Small patio with hammock in the front & high desert garden in back. Library with couch/bed serves as 2nd bedroom. Casita in back with kitchen/bathroom/bedroom is 3rd bedroom.Even though I live "downtown", one feels like they are in the country because it is so quiet.

Property features

Who we are

  1. My name is Donna Chamisa. I am a retired toy manufacturer. My life these days involves painting, dancing, my family and friends, and basically living outside of scheduled time, a great luxury. I love my home and have made it a very welcoming environment. I want to go to France again. I love who I am in that culture. I like to stay in one place, paint, walk, ride bikes, take advantage of the culture, enjoy the markets.....take pleasure in the life of Southern France. A friend might join me. Or my grown son might join me. Or I might go by myself and make new friends as I have in the past.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

I live on a dead end dirt road, right in the center of town. Like the centreville in French towns, the plaza and old part of town are filled with old world charm. People know each other on my street so it is a real neighborhood. Santa Fe itself is one of the most sought after tourist spots of the world.Even though it is a small city, there is a tremendous amount of culture:museums;galleries;street fairs;theatre;classes. The countryside is beautiful.Great restaurants & shopping!Native American pueblos welcoming strangers to their dances and ceremonies. One can be busy or take it easy,or some wonderful combination of the two.
