Our home

Our 2 story home is comfortable, charming, and has a secluded hillside backyard. The kitchen and family room with fireplace adjoin, and you are invited to play our baby grand piano and enjoy your meals in our private dining room. All bedrooms are upstairs, where a spacious master bedroom awaits.

Who we are

  1. My husband and I, Paul and Katherine, live here with our two older children, and our two small dogs. I am an elementary school teacher, and my husband is a CPA. Because of our jobs, we would like to exchange for approximately 2 weeks over the summer months, but we are flexible. We love to travel to Hawaii, and our family has always dreamed of going to Japan and Italy. We are also available for about 1 week during the usual U.S. public school holidays (Winter Break and Spring Break). We are honest, easy going people who will care for your home as if it is our own.

The ideal exchange would include pet sitting on both ends. That is, we would love to care for your pets, if you would love to care for ours! Our two dogs are friendly companion dogs, and our past exchangers have stated that they are no trouble to care for and enjoyable to be around.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Walking distance from BART (subway train) can take you virtually anywhere in San Francisco Bay Area. Directly in our neighborhood is the paved Alamo Creek Bike Trail which meanders along for about 2 miles, and you will regularly see California Quail scurrying about as you listen to the splashing water of the creek. This setting is charming and not to be missed either on foot, or by borrowing our bicycles.
