Who we are

  1. We are Linda and Robert and have 6 grown children with their own families. We both work long hours and and have reached a point in our lives where we would like to travel during our off times. We would really enjoy 5 to 7 days of vacation time a couple of times during the year and are planning now for Mid-June of 2012. June, in Texas, is warm summer weather. We are looking for an urban apartment or small home close to public transit and an airport(We would prefer not to drive more often than necessary, in an unfamiliar area) where we can sleep, relax and prepare meals during our days of touring.

Our Group would consist of myself and my husband, our eldest Daughter and Son-In-Law and possibly one Grand Daughter.
We have never done a home exchange before but it seems like a wonderful way to see another country, get to know the residents, and to allow someone else to do the same here.
We would like to get to know you, via email or letters, so that we could make your stay here carefree and enjoyable and ours as well.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

In the Northeast side of San Antonio - we are a 2 minute walk to the buslines that take you into Downtown San Antonio in a matter of minutes. From there the downtown trolleys will take you to all of the attractions that old San Antonio has to offer. There is also a major car rental business nearby that will bring you a car for the day then take you home - if you want to visit some of the further-out San Antonio attractions such as "Sea World".
San Antonio is a breath takingly beautiful city with a small town friendly attitude.
San Antonio offers a wonderful array of attractions to fill your days and nights with entertainment, exploration, education and just plain fun! Our city beckons visitors with history, romance, sports, family fun, adventure and the arts.
The San Antonio airport is 15 minutes by car or taxi and about 55 minutes by the busline.
We live in a quiet family area and enjoy taking evening walks around the neighborhood or down to the corner store.
One of our Daughter's, Elizabeth and her 2 daughters, live just a few blocks away and would be available for route advice, local information or if you have any questions or concerns. Another Daughter lives only 15 minutes away and has volunteered to come over to help with any and all concerns - as have our two Sons, who also live in the area. We also have long-time neighbors whom we have trusted to watch our property while on vacation for many years and will be aware that you may need advice or have concerns.
