Our home

Large comfortable mountain house with a great view of Claytor Lake. 4 bedrooms with either full or queen bed, 1 bedroom with 2 full and 1 twin bed. Full size futon in foyer. Great for families. Dining table seats 12. Fully stocked kitchen. Pool table. Woodstove and gas fireplace. Nice yard for horseshoes, volleyball, etc. Campfire pit. Frequent wildlife sightings. Screened porch with dining table, large deck with two dining tables. Boat launch and dock.

Who we are

  1. Bobby and Julie and now empty-nesters. We have 3 grown sons and a beautiful 8 year old grand-daughter. We enjoy traveling, sometimes alone and sometimes with our family. We live in NC and visit our mountain home in Virginia often. Bobby and our sons love to golf, and I love to shop! We work full-time and enjoy frequent long weekend trips. We love boating and fishing and experiencing new things.

Private community with a great commons area on the lake with a boat launch and picnic area. We have a dock that you can use (boat rental available at nearby marina) 5 miles to New River Trail State Park - 35 miles on an old railroad bed for wonderful biking, walking and running. New River great for kayaking and canoeing. Near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Great golf courses nearby - Draper Valley, River Course, Groundhog Mountain. Very scenic area with mountains, lake and the New River. One hour south of Roanoke, VA and 2 hours north of Winston-Salem, Greensboro, NC
