Our home

There are three levels of living space. The first level has the garage, work area, and studio. From this floor, one can walk directly out into our back yard which is private and fenced. The second floor has the living room, dining room and kitchen. Of the back of this level, we are building a sunroom. From the sunroom, you can grill outdoors, or walk down the stairs to the backyard. The thrid level has two bedrooms, each with private bath and ample closet space. The third level also provides a laundry room. Our appliances in the kitchen and laundry room are new and of the highest quality.
I've gone for a contemporary look in my decorating. I have tended to choose furniture that is pretty and hip but also durable. I want our home to look attractive but also to be inviting to our guests and relaxing in its ambiance.

Property features

Who we are

  1. My husband and I are youngish retirees. I'm a retired Neuropsychologist and my husband was in banking investment. We have good values and solid character, and would treat any home or condo like we would our own.

While I had to get "a real job" during my earlier years and worked diligently to get my doctorate, I have now gone back to my first love: the arts. If you have a moment, please visit my web site. It will give you a chance to see more of the city and environment I love ~ the url is www.PortlandPix.com. As for my husband, he had a wonderfully successful career and is now enjoying his Internet business in collections. Our second careers have given us much satisfaction, and, as Internet based endeavors, these careers allow us to enjoy the travelling we love so much.

My husband and I are soul mates. We are totally in love with each other. Why mention that? Well, because it tells you something about our household, which is very even keeled and positive in terms of mood. We're a very happy couple. We're highly respectful of each other and of other people and their belongings. Our children are all grown, so it would likely be just the two of us utilizing your home should we decide an exchange would be mutually advantageous.
    Have a great day!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Most of Portland is divided into Districts. When you come to Portland, you don't visit a building. You visit a district. Each district has its own unique flavor. Our townhose is located in 'Nob Hill', which is a highly coveted area in which to live and play. We live around the corner from 21st Avenue, known for having some of the best restaurants in Porltand. Up the street from us is 23rd Avenue, or as it is affectionately known by locals: 'Trendy-Third'. It is filled with fun boutiques. Down the avenue is The Pearl District known for its parks and for its 'First Thursdays' -- on the 1st Thursday of each month, art galleries stay open late offering wine and snacks while you view the latest art on display. It's a fun way to meet and greet neighbors and the entire area becomes a big promendade. The River walk is just blocks away. You can stroll or ride your bikes from one end of the city to the other. Transportation is very easy with the trolley stopping right outside our door.
Portland has been voted the highest quality city in America! And the Northwest is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. You are within an hour of the Oregon coast, as well as the mountains upon which you can ski into late spring, go hiking, camp and so on. Within a half hour, you are in The Columbia River Gorge, where you can view fantastic waterfalls. This place is incredible. No kidding
