Our home

Quintessential New England cabin on pristine Pawtuckaway Lake in Nottingham, NH. Relax on the year-round porch overlooking the lake, swim, kayak, hike, visit the White Mountains, Boston, Maine and the seacoast - it's one hour to Boston, 30 minutes to Portsmouth, NH and York, Maine. We have been using the cabin as a second home while living in Sonoma, CA and have decided to spend a year or more at the cabin now that both our boys are away at college and we feel that east coast tug.

Who we are

  1. Originally from the East Coast we have returned after 12 years in CA, where we did lots of home exchanges, and now want to continue exchanging from NH. My husband is recently retired and I am a Regulatory consultant for the Pharmaceutical industry and work remotely. In our free time we love outdoor activities like hiking, biking, kayaking and skiing. These days we are usually traveling without either of our boys, now 19 and 20 and away at school. We are interested mostly in US destinations while I am still working, including long-term options in Colorado, Montana or Vancouver Island, BC. We are also open to shorter stays on the East Coast.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Pawtuckaway is a special lake, small enough to discourage large boats but perfect for kayaks, small ski boats and pontoon boats. Much of the shoreline is state park, and the lake has resident loons, bald eagles, and osprey. You may never leave the cabin and sandy beach, or you may combine the peace and quiet of the lake with the big-time fun of Boston, the colonial charm of Portsmouth, with its excellent restaurants, breweries, shopping, etc., or drive to several Maine lighthouses under 2 hours away. And NH beaches are just 30 minutes away.
