Our home

This is truly a cabin in the woods located across the street from the Truckee River and a scenic bike path. The path goes for miles along the river and around Lake Tahoe - one of the deepest and bluest lakes in the world. The cabin is located one mile from Tahoe City nestled on forest service land. It is 900 sq. ft with one bedroom and bath downstairs and a loft with 2 additional beds upstairs (2 double beds and 1 queen bed). It has an old-time, cozy feeling while comfortably furnished with a sectional couch with recliner seats built into it.

Who we are

  1. I am a published author. I have run the gamut in life from living in religious life as a Catholic nun to serving in public office as an elected County Commissioner. I live in Reno and this cabin is my second home. So I am free to exchange most anytime that is convenient for you. I have indicated that I am interested in spending part of the Fall of 2007 in Europe, preferably Northern Italy near water. I would like to spend some time during December 2007 - January 2008 in Mexico. And February and/or March in Hawaii. But I am always open to new places - especially warm climates during the colder season in the U.S.
I have one son who is grown. I live alone and plan to travel with a friend or two.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Tahoe City - one mile away - opens you up to the North Shore of Lake Tahoe with all the fun things to do on the beach and on the lake. In warm climate: swimming, sailing, diving, picnics, biking on the path, and so much more. In winter, Squaw Valley and some of the best skiing in the world is just a few miles away. There are wonderful restaurants on or near the Lake, along with good shopping. The world-famous hiking trail is there that takes you the full rim of Lake Tahoe. I can provide you with a suburu so you can drive all around the Lake. Of course, on the Nevada side, is gambling.
