Our home

2200 square foot colonial with 250 feet of frontage on Lake champlain. One has to cross the road to get to the lake, but it is only a few yards away. There is a great view of the lake from the living room. The fenced backyard is like a small park, and I am right next to a small state park. On the other side there is a farm where corn is grown. There are no houses close to mine, providing privacy inside, in the back yard and at the lake shore. The decor and furnishings are modest. There is a large projection TV, home theater equipment and, for cold weather, a large fireplace insert with glass door and wall

Who we are

  1. I am a retired physician and I live alone except for an eleven year old yellow lab. I lived in northern California for 30 years and moved to Vermont 5 years ago. I would like to spend time in southern California, particularly the San Diego area, to be close to my son and other family members

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The lake, a quarter of a million acres and 120 miles long provides great oportunities for water sports. I am 27 miles from Burlington, the largest city in Vermont. The town of North Hero is an island, with about 800 full year homes and an almost equal number of vaction homes. Vemont is a unique place in the USA, with a population of less than a million and a culture of its own. I am also located twenty miles from the Provence of Quebec and 60 miles from Montreal. In winter we have good cross country skiing and the Green Mountains with downhil skiing is 45 miles away.
