Our home

My apartment is in Kips Bay area, which is on the east side of Manhattan (Lexington and twenty-eighth). The pre-war building is ten stories and on each floor there are four apartments, and there is an elevator. The outside and inside of the building are regularly kept up, and there is a super who lives on the first floor with his wife and two small children. People living in the building are friendly; their average ages range from late twenties to mid-fifties. The laundry room is in the basement, there are three washers and two dryers - all machines operate with quarters. I have lived here for eleven years and I love it!

Who we are

  1. I teach high school English to juniors and seniors at a performing school that just happens to be a public school in Manhattan - my lucky stars. I am also a playwright and business writer/editor. I have lived in Manhattan since 1982 as a single adult. I have booked my airline flight to London for 7-24 to 8-3 and need a place to exchange or, if no exchange, to rent.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The neighborhood is quiet, has restaurants (especially Indian), is minutes away from all forms of transportation, and minutes away from most sightseeing areas. It's a perfect location! The area is becoming more popular, which is due to more young adults moving into the area. With them comes more night clubs and more great places to eat.
