Our home

Our apartment is situated on the upper west side of Manhattan. Although not very large (it is 2 full bedrooms), it is very comfortable, and extremely quiet which is rare in manhattan. It faces the back, so you hear no street traffic. It is in an upscale prewar apartment building with an elevator and 24-hour attendants (it is a very safe building). There are hardwood floors throughout. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and a flat-screen high-definition cable TV system. The second bedroom is our children's bedroom. It has a crib and a twin-sized bed. We also have a queen-sized aerobed that can be blown up for the living room. Our living room has a beautiful English sofa with a large flat-screen high-definition cable tv system with DVD player, stereo and high-speed internet. The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, new refrigerator and stove and ceramic tiled floor.

Who we are

  1. I am Sheeri and my husband is Ian. We both work in advertising although I am mainly raising our two young children these days. Annie is four and Max is 1. I am interested in bringing my family to Israel for 1 month this summer so that my daughter Annie can attend an Israeli camp and improve her Hebrew. (I am half-Israeli and am fluent.) We have no pets and are non-smokers.

Your neighbourhood

We live in an ideal neighborhood for exploring Manhattan. We are on the upper west side near Columbia University, in between Central Park and Riverside Park which are both walking distance. Both parks boast excellent summer festivals. There are plenty of excellent shops and restaurants in the environs. There is a world-famous French bakery around the corner as well as other cafes and bookstores. All the major subway lines are accessible and most destinations in Manhattan are about a twenty minute subway ride away.
