Property features

Who we are

  1. Tom and Marianne Bergenholtz have a wide variety of interests, including skiing, boating on the lake, swimming, the arts, entrepreneurial pursuits, sports and restoring historic homes. Tom is VP of sales at an international publishing solutions company. Marianne, an artist, is also a small business owner. During travels, we are more interested in "living the local experience" than going to a hotel. We like to experience local customs, meet local people, take in theatre, visit the local pub and relax. We often travel with our young adult sons. One sells publishing services in Washington DC, the other is an executive director and curator to a private art foundation in Rhode Island. We have traveled to UK, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Poland, Germany and many major cities in the US, skiing in Canada, Utah and Switzerland, swimming in Virgin Islands. We live in Worcester, Massachusetts with our two border collies (who do not travel with us).

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Area of year round private vacation homes on north end of 4,106 acre Newfound Lake, in Hebron, NH with over 22 miles of shoreline, 587 feet above sea level. It is a deep lake, over 200 feet in some areas, mountain-spring fed, one of the cleanest lakes in the world - great fishing. Covered bridges, water falls a short distance away. No commercial activity in neighborhood. Restful, quiet, yet nice local restaurant and pub nearby. Friendly local people. Town has only 400 year round residents. Charming Hebron Village Common has local activities with bands, craft fair, church suppers, etc. Closeby Plymouth State University provides summer music programs. Audubon wildlife reservation activities include Friday night campfire, canoing, nature programs. Preservation land, childrens' camps, and Wellington State Park provide much additional open space on this unspoiled lake.
