Who we are

  1. I'm an elementary-school teacher, working with 9-10 year olds. My husband Steve is in charge of city planning for our county (Prince William) We have 2 sons: Liam, 21 and Andrew 20 and a daughter: Darcy, 14 years old. I spent several years in Spain and France during my college days and want to return with my family, but don't want to do the typical tourist trip. Liam and Darcy have studied Spanish/French and we want them to have a chance to hear and practice them, as well as experience the culture that comes with the language. We welcome the chance to get to know you and your home.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We are 7 minutes from I95, the main north-south corridor on the East Coast. Train station is 10 minutes away. There is a National Forest Park across the street for hiking/biking. Washington DC is 30 minutes to the north. Historic Fredericksburg is 30 minutes to the south. Mountains, beaches and more cities are a day-trip or overnight trip away. This area includes so many opportunities for cultural experiences, fine dining or international cuisine, history, boating, camping and hiking, that they could not all be listed. It's a wonderful place to live. We would be open to trading use of a car and have one you could use.
