Our home

Our large 2 1/2 story designated heritage home has been updated and restored keeping its original style. New Kitchen and bathrooms, and french doors to deck and fenced yard with many flowers and trees. Piano, keyboard, guitars, bikes for your use. There is also a basement apartment with one furnished bedroom and separate bath, full kitchen (not rented). So there is lots of space and privacy. Oak floors/trim throughout, 2 fireplaces, high ceilings. Most furniture is antique accumulated over the years, but our home is also casual, comfortable, and usable. We would be very respectful of any home we exchanged.
We have a very affectionate cat who could stay or, if you prefer, he could do his own "exchange" for the time.

Who we are

  1. We have restored this house over the years. I am a psychologist in independent practice though I have worked in hospital/university for many years. I have always loved travel in the way of immersing with the people and places. Since my kids were small we have traveled extensively throughout europe and north america. I am interested in art and history, but most of all getting to know the people and their culture. I love Paris for all of that and the lifestyle it offers, but I am sure there are many other places ... I'm open. I would really like to get to know Central America. We went to Panama for Christmas and we all liked it there too. We like adventurous activities as well as cultural ones.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

London is 350,000, well located near the Great Lakes and nature, with Lakes Erie and Huron just a short drive away. Near Toronto and US borders, Niagara Falls.

Our neighborhood is an historic residential district within walking distance from downtown, a beautful university campus, many restaurants, shops, groceries and parks. Biking/walking trail along the Thames river a few blocks away. Great neighbors from all over the world. The internationally famous Stratford Theatres are just outside of London.

London (Ontario) is called "the forest city". Many trees and lovely old buildings. A safe city to walk around in. Has something for all ages.
