Our home

Our home is a newly remodled plantation cottage in a local small hawaiian town. This is a wonderful place for someone who loves the outdoors. A 17 mile long white sand beach is 2 blocks form our front door. Surfing, swimming, and fishing are just steps away. The house also sits at the base of Waimea Canyon (the grand canyon of the pacific). A national park with miles of hiking trails and waterfall views. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the trail heads. Biking is also good in this community as traffic is light and trails without cars are near by.

Property features

Who we are

  1. My name is Sharon, my husband Mitch and three children Megan 15, Alex 13 and Chris 10. We are a very outdoors type of family. We all surf, bike, hike and like outdoor family activities.

Mitch is a Californa business owner and when in Kauai he works in construction.

Sharon teaches online college classes during the school year and lectures in the classroom during the summer.

Sharon will be teaching 6 week college classes in Santa Rosa and Mitch will be working for his California Business. We try to use this time during the summer to return to the mainland, take a family vacation and work on the careers we started when we lived in Sonoma County.

We are looking for someone who is as excited about trading homes as we are. We have a dog named Jack. He is a friendly boarder collie who loves people and loves to play soccer or fetch on the beach. We have two kittens named sam and echo. They will sit in your lap and purr and cuddle. All of our animals live outside where the weather is always perfect.

Our garden is producing organic vegetables year around. It is on drip so it stays watered.

We look forward to the new friends we will make by exchanging homes.
