Our home

My home is a comfortable 3 bed, 2 bathroom home with a two-car attached garage. There is a deck in the back that overlooks the large yard. There are two enormous trees (Colorado Blue Spruce) and many shrubs. I have a large wooden swing and two canvas sky chairs suspended from the rafters that make the summer evenings on the deck more enjoyable. There is an automatic sprinkler system installed and my neighbor will keep up with the mowing when I'm gone. I have no pets but would ask you to water my house plants for me.

Who we are

  1. I am Christy, 56, a special education teacher who was born and raised in Oregon. My parents live 3 hours from me and I have two grown children who live out of state but my family or friends would be helpful if you needed advice when planning what to see and where to go. They are just a call or email away. I am retiring soon and can't wait to travel.

I have greatly enjoyed updating and remodeling my home. There are now wood floors, new windows and a large deck out back. The inside is newly painted. Much of these renovations I helped with or did myself. I put down sod in the front yard and will never do that again without help!

Your neighbourhood

My home is on a quiet street with only 2 other homes in a suburban location near the airport. Klamath Falls is located on the eastern slope of the Cascade Mountains, 15 miles from the northern California border. This is high desert at 4100' altitude. We are 62 miles from Crater Lake, the deepest lake in the US. It's clear water lies in the caldera of a volcano which erupted 6000 years ago. We are an hour from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon and the Britt Music Festival where concerts are held under the stars. We are approximately 4-5 hours driving time from the Pacific Ocean; Portland, Oregon; Reno, Nevada or San Francisco, California. Klamath Falls is a quiet community that boasts of blue skies nearly every day of the year. Our area has over 80 lakes and streams and there are over 150,000 acres of wildlife refuge. Fishing, the Running Y Resort Ranch, white water rafting and jet boat excursions are all available. We have a beautiful outdoor city swimming pool that is geothermally heated and is a great place to swim year round, even when it snows!
