Our home

Our beach house is equipped for relaxation and play, 2 kayaks, decks overlooking the ocean, a big, treed, grassy back yard, fully equipped kitchen for those who love to cook, lots of games, books/magazines, fishing equipment, boogie boards, arts and crafts materials, hot and cold outdoor shower, great deck overlooking the ocean, etc. Ocean out back, stream to the side. Each bedroom has its own bath. Cozy screen porch takes advantage of the constant trade winds which keeps our place always cool and breezy. Ceiling fans are new and quiet. We have two bedrooms/2 bathrooms. Master bedroom window overlooks the sea. The entire cottage was recently renovated. Folks love our place!

Who we are

  1. We are Linda and David, both professors at the University of Hawaii on the brink of retirement with academic interests in business, healthcare, and anthropology. We are world travelers and happily experienced exchangers who will respect and care for your property as we do our own. Our hobbies are home renovation, gardening, hunting for interesting places, food, and culture. The cottage is on our home lot and thus is available any time (no simultaneous exchange required). We have a precious dog, Mellow, who will stay with neighbors during an exchange.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our neighborhood offers a string of spectacular parks and beaches with very few visitors most of the time: Kokololio, Pounders, and Malaekahana are best known. Stream on one side of the house is filled with fish. House is very well located near shopping, farmers market, and attractions such as Polynesian Cultural Center and Brigham Young University Campus. Trails nearby are awesome and range from easy to difficult. House is a five minute walking from a grocery store, three restaurants and post office. Neighbors are local islanders who are freindly and helpful.
