Our home

This is my beloved beach home. Walk through the patio doors down the steps to a fire pit on the water. What more could one dream of. This cabin is on the out take end of Deep Lake in Northern Washington. A retreat, with all the basics of modern living. This cabin is a mobile home built in the 70's, however updated for convenience. Located in a rural area. The kitchen is modern. Each bedroom has a queen size bed. The large living room has two hideaway twin size chesterfields. The cabin includes a swim platform dock, 3 kayaks, a water trampoline, and numerous individual floatation devices, plus numerous water guns and things for water sport enjoyment. Nothing with motors though. The best feature may be the floating green. Golf balls are hit from the driving green over the water to the floating green, then a kayak is used to retrive the floating balls if you wish. This cabin was designed for fun. Please email me at oneat@telus.net so I can tell you more.

Who we are

  1. I, Marilyn, am a counsellor in private general practice. I see my clients in my home. I also write a counselling column for the local news paper. In the summer I enjoy my garden, golfing, hiking (I belong to the local hiking association), kyaking, camping, and biking. Winter sees me attenting the local Preformance Series, traveling to Spokane to see the Broadway Series, sking - downhill, X-country, & telemark. Other interests include: pottery (a local guild member), painting, and whatever catches my fancy. My friends say I am high energy for my 58 years. I enjoy my children, grandchildren, and great grandchild who all live a minimal of 7 driving hours away. My moto for life is: Life is for Living.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Although a neighbor is on either side, quiet prevails. One neighbor resides in Canada, the other in Texas, when they are there friendship is the order of the day. When they are absent silence is your companion. As I stated earlier, this cabin is located on the out take of the lake, the beginning of a stream therefore there is more natural habitat: Hummingbirds, eagles, osprey, ducks, geese, blue herron, are a few of the birds that nest here. Turtles bathe in the sun, dragon flys abound, a naturalists paradise. For those who long to hunt in the fall this is a haven I know little about this piece other then the woods take on a different attration in the fall. In every direction their are hills to hike, registered state park hikes such as Mt. Acrombe are peaks with incredible views across Washington and into Canada. This area is near the Colville National Park Reserve area. Deep Lake which the cabin is on is considered to be part of an important wet lands area.
