Our home

We have a beautifully renovated 16th thatched house in a busy and thriving village.
The house is set in large gardens, and has four big bedrooms and three bathrooms. The kitchen opens out onto the patio and garden, and has an AGA.

The living areas have inglenook fireplaces, exposed timbers and traditional plasterwork. At the same time, the amenities are completely modern - cable TV, broadband internet, playstation, full size pinball machine and so on.

The main bedroom has an en suite bathroom and exposed beams. One window looks out over the garden, and other one over the village church. We'd be happy to lend you one of our cars (we have a small city runabout and a 7-seater Honda).

We are fixed up for summer 2007 and are interested in exchanges for Christmas 2007 (7-10 days, ski access would be great) and easter 2008 or summer 2008

Who we are

  1. Mary is a Careers adviser at Cambridge University and Colin works freelance as a consultant and editor, mainly in the field of telecoms policy. We have two well-behaved sons of 11 and 14, and would respect your home. We have done several exchanges in the past and it's worked really well. Our holidays in 2007 will be ski-ing (Easter) and sailing (summer), and we enjoy being near the water. Mary also enjoys the occasional bit of shopping!
