Our home

Our home is an interesting stone built folly (1769) set in historic parkland with lovely rural views across a gentle vally to the river. We have a large comfortable lounge with doors onto the patio and a large conservatory dining room with 180 degree views. The kitchen is very well appointed with all you would need and a large American fridge/freezer. A cleaner comes once a week to clean the house. The master bedroom with en-suite has a large round window over looking the river in the valley, this is the best view. There is another twin bedroom and two single bedrooms. We have a playroom that has a piano and tv, this room can also sleep two. The garden is large with mature trees and a double garage has another playroom with a pool table and table tennis. The lawns will be cut by a gardener during your stay. We love living here and we are sure you wont be disappointed.

Property features

Who we are

  1. I am John and my wife is called Kay. We have three very well behaved daughters aged 17, 16 and 14. We are both teachers and look to swap for the summer holiday 2011. We have exchanged before to Florida, France, Cyprus and to Spain all were absolutely fantastic hence we would like to do it again. We are very respectful of other peoples property and we would treat it as if it were our own. We are all active and sporty and we would like to swop for a property with its own swimming pool or have access to a community pool.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We are located between Northampton and Bedford in a village so a car would be useful. We are centrally located and well served by the motorway network. We have three international airports within 70 mins drive as is London, Oxford, Cambridge,Warwick and Stratford upon Avon. Northamptonshire is known as the county of 'squires and spires' so lots of history on your door step as well as a wide range of shopping at Milton Keynes and Northampton.
