We live in an upscale community in a very nice three-bedroom home with a separate guest suite with a full bath. The house is located on a salt marsh with a wonderful six-mile view of the marsh and the surrounding waters. The house is about 5 years old. The house has all of the amenities of a typical American home including central heating/air conditioning, a clothes washer and dryer, satellite TV, computer with internet access, screened porch, etc., etc.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Beaufort is on the Atlantic coast with beautiful marsh, river and ocean views. An ocean beach is only 10 miles away. Beaufort is an historical area with plantation and slave history. There are many historic homes dating back to the 1700s. The city is on the waterfront and is quaint with excellent shopping and many restaurants. Arts and crafts are an important element of the city. Swimming, golf and boating are the primary sports activities in the area.

Staying on Dataw Island requires an automobile.

We should point out that our home is located in a private community with 2 golf courses and a clubhouse. These facilities are not available to non-members and, therefore, are not included in the exchange.
