Our home

Five year old detached house in a quiet cul-de-sac. Train station (Ashford International)
Our house has a conservatory, 2 bedrooms, study ensuite to main bedroom, childs room (space design), family bathroom & study with broadband upstairs. Dining room, living room & fully equipped kitchen and a toilet downstairs. Garage on property and average size enclosed garden with climbing frame.

We have 2 cats and 3 rabbits, the cats are quite old and thus I would not want to move them (they are very affectionate and low maintenance) but alternative care can be set up if needed. The rabbits love being cuddled but can go on holiday too if not wanted!

We are members of the English Heritage and National Trust, so you would have free access with our cards to loads of historic castles, houses, grounds and sites. Also annual members.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are an average young family, enjoying sport and family activities. John is a gadget-king, thus our house is well equipped! Our son, Jordan, is a typical 5 year old and thus our house is clean but lived in!

Jon and I both work for the local Government.

Car exchange is offered - we have a Citroen Picasso MPV. Just returned from our first exchange and loved every minute of it.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

10 minutes drive with Eurostar services to Europe. The train to London is frequent and takes about an hour.
There is a large supermarket 5 minutes walk away. The town is close with a good standard of shops and there is a designer outlet centre next to the train station. But 5 minutes in the other direction and you are in Kent Countryside.
Ashford is in the centre of Kent (the South-East of England) and so has easy access to most places including historic Rochester & Canterbury. Dover, with its castle & port to France, and Eurotunnel (drive to France in 35 minutes) are 30 minutes away. Similarly, good sandy beaches are less than an hour away.
