Our home

We have a large secluded house with 20 acres to explore. Walking trails. We have a trampoline, swing set etc for kids. Athens is a college town (university of Georgia), famous for its music scene. We have 4 bedrooms and a loft with all mod cons.

Our house would be great for people who want to get away from the city and have a quiet and relaxing experience.

The weather is beautiful here March to May and Sept to November, but it VERY hot in summer.

Property features

Who we are

  1. My husband is British and we lived in London for nearly 10 years together. We both miss London and would like to visit for a couple of weeks with our 2 children aged 5 and 2. Our daughter was born there and has not been back since we moved to the states, when she was 1 year old. She is very excited about visiting England and proud that she was born there. We have a nice house, but our finances are limited so that is why we want to do a house swap. I would probably want to travel in March while flights are cheaper and school is out for a week, but would consider other times of the year.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We are in the country and it is very relaxing and quiet. Downtown Athens is 12 miles away, and the nearest shopping is 8 miles away (so a car is a must). Athens is a beautiful college town and the University of Georgia campus is next to downtown Athens where there are a number of good restaurants and unique shopping boutiques. There are some pretty towns nearby with Antebellum homes (Madison and Washington, GA.) and Atlanta is only 80 miles away with a vast array of cultural activities. (check out Stone Mountain, Six Flags, Aquarium) Rock City (pictured: swing bridge) is 4 hours drive, and Watsons Mill (pictured) with its late 1800s covered bridge is only 20 miles away.

Savannah is 5 hours drive and Orlando is 8 hours drive.
