Our home

Our brick colonial house is very comfortable and is well-situated in a pleasant neighborhood in Arlington. There are four bedrooms upstairs, with a single, bunk bed, queen, and king size bed. Downstairs, in addition to the living room, dining room and kitchen, there is a very sunny family room. We have central air conditioning, a side deck and back yard. We have 2 Guinea Pigs as pets that we can have the neighbors care for if necessary. We have bikes and a car that can be available.

Who we are

  1. I teach high school math and my husband is an electrical engineer. We have 2 sons, 9 and 12, and look forward to travel during the summer months, Christmas week, and our Spring vacation (always around Easter). We would like to go to France (particularly the Southwest) this summer, but would consider other places as well. We love hiking, museums, cooking and dining out. We tend to prefer country or suburban locations to cities.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our home is in a quiet comfortable neighborhood 1 block away from an extensive park system with bike trails, soccer fields, and tennis courts. Our neighbors are wonderful! Arlington, Virginia is just across the river from Washington DC (10 minute drive), where there are many wonderful museums (especially all the Smithsonian museums which are free), and places to eat. Arlington itself also has many excellent restaurants. You can hike along the Potomac River(20 minutes drive), or to the Southwest are the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains (1.5 hour drive). You can drive to beaches in Maryland in two hours, or visit historic Williamsburg Virginia in 3.5 hours. The Pennsylvania border is 1 hour drive, and New York City can be reached in 4 hours drive.
