Our home

Our townhouse is filled with paintings and crafts collected in 40+ years of living in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. With cathedral ceiling in the living room, it is filled with light. Sitting room, dining room, kitchen, office, laundry room/bathroom are downstairs, and two bedrooms with full bathrooms are upstairs. There is a small fenced garden in the back where one can dine, or watch the almost always clear night sky. There is an attached garage, and use of our Toyota is a possibility.

Property features

Who we are

  1. My wife and I retired after forty years of overseas work with humanitarian organizations. We are both golfers, and continue to travel both to new places or past postings. We prefer exchanges of a month (or more), but will consider shorter ones depending upon the location. We have a small Lhasa Apso dog which we prefer to take with us if possible, but can make arrangements to leave him if necessary.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our townhouse is three blocks from the Arroyo del Oso municipal golf course, in the northeast section of Albuquerque, in a quiet residential area close to shopping. There is a great view of the Sandia Mountains from the terrace off of the master bedroom. Golfing, hiking, bicycling, and hot air ballooning opportunities are many. Santa Fe is a 45 minute drive, and Albuquerque is surrounded by Indian reservations which are fascinating to visit. Summers are hot but dry, but our house has an evaporative cooling system which works very well.
