Our home

The semi-detached house is a typical English style house (build in 1907). Inside is modern and comfortable and has all amenities. Shown here in the picture it is the right half. Upstairs it has two bedrooms one with on-suite, downstairs we have a living room with bay window, a dinning room, a kitchen and a small bathroom. (For England) it has a big back yard and a nice large deck to sit on or to barbeque. Behind the house is a golf course with walking paths. Availability of car can be discussed.

Property features

Who we are

  1. Jolanda is Dutch and Anita is Canadian and we currently live in the UK. We have been together for 8 plus years and have a little girl of 15 months. We have had two house exchanges in the summer of 2008 and had some good and some not so good experiences, but we are willing to give it another go. Since we had mixed experiences we would like to somewhat get to know the people we exchange with in advance (via email/phone), to make sure we both have the same expectations.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live in a village, right behind us is a golf course. We are surrounded by small picturesque villages, some with nice shopping and others where you can walk along the river. Also we are close to many places to visit: we are 40 min to London by train, with trains running regularily. Fourty minutes to Oxford, twenty minutes to Windsor and Henley on the Thames, 1.5/2 hours to Bath, one good hour to the closest sea. We are 1.5 hours to Dover where you can catch the ferry/Eurotunnel to France. Several close heritage sites to view including Cliveden, Windsor Castle, Hughenden Manor to name a few. Legoland is not to far either.
