Our home

I live in a lovely tree lined road in West Wimbledon, South London. My home was built in 1903 and, although it is very old and is under a preservation order, it is clean, modern and comfortable. Friends describe it as a good mix of style and cosiness.
I have original floorboards on the ground floor with carpeting on the upper floors.

My home is on three floors and has 3 good sized bedrooms with a fourth small room that I use as an office. Two of the bedrooms, one en-suite, have double beds, and the third bedroom has a single bed. There are two bathrooms, both of which have been completely remodernised in 2011.

I have a patio where we eat in the summer and a small pretty garden which is south facing allowing the downstairs area to be light and sunny all year round.

Who we are

  1. Hello,
I am a lady who cannot quite believe she is in her early sixties.

I have a job, which is now part time, as a Manager in the Accident & Emergency Department of a large London teaching hospital and I am ready to take up new and exciting ventures.

I have an interest in art and enjoy travel, particularly European cities, Rome and Venice being favourites as well as Madrid and Paris.

I have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Sydney where I spent Christmas and New Year.

I have a son who is married and currently living in Neutral Bay and I am keen to return for a month in early 2014 - I am open to offers on dates.

I am looking for an exchange in Mosman or close to Balmoral Beach, but again can be open to offers for properties near to Neutral Bay.

I am an organised and capable person who takes care of her home and would hope that anyone coming to my home would feel the same way and enjoy it as much as I do.

Would be great to hear from you.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Wimbledon is a very pretty and safe place to live with good shops, pubs and restaurants as well as Wimbledon Common where you can enjoy long walks.

Travel links to the centre of London are excellent and my house is very close to public transport which will take you to Waterloo Station, for example, within approx 20 minutes. Here you have the South Bank to stroll along and visit galleries, exhibitions and the London Eye. If you are a theatre goer you will enjoy the convenience of leaving the theatre and having the accessibility of being able to return within 50 minutes or so, door to door. Trains also run into the early hours of the morning.

The street where I live is small and tree lined with friendly neighbours.

Should you wish to go further afield, and have lunch say, in Paris, Eurostar can take you there in 3 hours.
