Our home

Our house is a friendly family home slightly scarred by the upbringing of three amazing children. Two are grown up and we are left with one teenager. We could possibly accommodate up to 7 people but we would prefer a lesser number. The house is uniquely decorated by Marianne - the hobby artist along with many other original works of art. It is filled with books from many ages on many subjects - you are free to read them.
Our garden is pleasant, warm in the sun, but with shade from the trees, ideal for sitting and eating.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are a peculiar family consisting of mother (Marianne), father (Roger), and Tessa aged 14. James, (22) is studying away from home, but still has a bedroom here. We are interested in art and quite a lot in technology. We also have a cat who we would appreciate being looked after.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our home is in a quite rural village 20 minutes from the centre of Derby. The closest shops are in the adjacent village 1 mile away- easily reached by either walking or cycling. We have two good Pub in the village, both have excellent restaurants.

There are many footpaths around the area going to the canal and river Trent. If you want some more perhaps substantial shopping you can either go to Chellaston not far by car or take a bus to the centre of Derby. Derby has the peak district an hour from our house and Nottingham is only 45 min away.

If you like the night life, Derby many very good night clubs and bars.

The M1 helps transport problems as does the railway that extends from London to Edinburgh. You could easily go on a day trip to London because it is 2-3 hours drive.
