Who we are

  1. We are a married couple with one 15 year old son. My husband is a chef and I am an events organiser. We have both travelled quite a lot and enjoy visiting new places. We enjoy all that city life offers as well as chill out time by the seaside and countryside activities such as running, cycling and walking. We enjoy cooking and eating out, galleries, museums and design. We are very open to exchange offers as we did our first exhange in Oct 09 and it was a great experience.

Your neighbourhood

St. Margarets offers a good combination of easy access to London's culture and nightlife, with a relaxed London village atmosphere. A few minutes walk is Marble Hill park which leads down to the river Thames where there are walks along the river along a gorgeous tree lined path. Places of interest nearby are Ham House, Hampton Court, Kew Gardens, Richmond Park and The Wetlands Centre in Barnes. Richmond offers great shopping, restaurants and bars and St Margarets has a real local high street with a free range butchers, delicatessen, coffee shops, local restaurants, tailors, an art gallery and pubs. The train station is a few minutes walk with trains into London Waterloo (30 mins journey) every 15 minutes for the National Gallery, Tate Modern, Globe Theatre, Royal Festival Hall and links into the West End. The district line tube at Richmond takes you to Chelsea, and South Kensington (for The Natural History, V&A and Science museums.) Our neighbourhood is great for people that like to dip in and out of city life, but also enjoy green spaces.
