Who we are

  1. We are Wendy & Paul we are retired youth workers with a lot travelling under our belts (70 exchanges to date over 27 years) and feel that we will go on forever exchanging until they decide to put the lid on (God Willing).

We are fit and healthy, walk a lot and love the beach and at this present time travel every British winter time (Nov. to March) to Australia every year and intend to keep doing this kind of travel for the foreseeable future.

We are clean & tidy and respect others' property and with 70 EXCHANGES completed (never one complaint.) With this kind of experience you can be sure your home and car will be cared for.

Although we have no pets ourselves we are willing to take care of a pet or pets that you have and we have looked after pets while at other exchanges.

We reside all the Welsh summer at our large Cabin home at the Welsh Seaside Coastline enabling Australians to use our home (hence the non simultaneous exchange bit) one hour up the road a our home at Merthyr Tydfil.
So our home is free most of the time (summer & winter)
Welsh Seaside in our summer, Australia seaside in our winter
Thats what home exchange have enabled us to do over the years.

  2. Just moved home into a totally Complely Renovated Old Miners Cottage with lots of history over a hundred & fifty years old which is very, very comfortable.

  3. Love the Beach

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live a small quaint friendly little village called Troedyrhiw, (Near Merthyr Tydfil) which sits on the edge of the famous Brecon Beacons Mountain Range (which most Australians call little Austria) because of its beautiful evergreen countryside, lakes and Rolling Mountain Hills. we are that near to the Country Side)

The town it's self is called Merthyr Tydfil its a Valley town and has 50,000 inhabitants and boasts lots of industrial heritage history.
With good road links to Cardiff (our Capital) One Hour, Bristol One and Half Hours, London Two and Half Hours, Midlands Two hours drive makes us in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales Central for all sightseeing?
What makes our village so unique is that on one hand you have all this heritage and history and on the other hand you have this beautiful Countryside that goes on for ever as far has the eye can see,

Dotted along this amazing beautiful countryside are old Inns & Taverns/ Restaurants which entice you to taste their Real Ales and Welsh Quisine and (wait a while) with an hospitality that you only find in the (Land of Song) wonderful Wales.
With designated walk and bike tracks that take you into the heart of the stunning beautiful countryside and famous Brecon Beacons Mountain Range,
They Welsh people say that God made Haven & Earth in six days and he had to come back on Sunday Morning and Complete Wales?
It's that beautiful.
