Our home

Our home is an ex sea captains georgian terraced house, with outstanding views over St Ives Bay and into the harbour. It has been sympathetically restored and retains many of the original features. There is a large fully equipped kitchen in the semi-basement. Large reception room with original dividing doors which make 2 smaller rooms. The front room having views over the bay. The front double bedroom has views over the bay, as does the bathroom. Bedroom 2 is a double with an en suite shower and toilet. Bedroom 3 has a single bed and bunks with en suite shower room.

Who we are

  1. Our names are Janet and Ian and we have two grown up children. We have both worked as a partnership in property for the past twenty years and are now retired. The exchange does not need to be simultaneous as we have some alternative accommodation. We are new to house exchange, but are keen on the concept. The house is not available for exchange from June - September.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

St Ives is a very popular holiday destination, but it has managed to maintain its old Cornish charm. It has the famous Tate Gallery. There are many good restaurants and pubs within walking distance of our house. However you do need to be fit as there are hills from the town to our house, one fairly steep and another not so steep. There are, however, taxis available if the walk is too much. Out terrace is Cul-d-sac, so there is no through traffic. Public transport, trains and buses are within walking distance.
