Our home

We live in a beautiful thatched Devon cottage. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs - the master bedroom has a superking-sized bed and there are 2 single bedrooms. The bathroom has a bath (with integral shower), bidet, handbasin and WC.
Downstairs, the front door opens into the dining room which has a circular table seating 6 people comfortably. It also has a wood burning stove.
A separate sitting room is particularly cosy and comfortable with an open fire.
There is also a kitchen with breakfast bar and separate study.
Also downstairs is a double bedroom with shower room, handbasin and WC attached.
There are gardens either side of the property. One is lawned and a perfect space for children to run around in and the other is a much smaller cottage garden.
Kindly note that in keeping with traditional Devon cottages, the downstairs ceilings are low!

Who we are

  1. We are Sarah and Jon - Jon is a doctor and Sarah a nurse.
We have 2 children. Freya aged 11 and Sammy aged 9.
We also have a cat called Tommy who would either stay in the cottage if you were agreeable or would go to a cattery.
We love travelling and now the children are older, would love them to explore the world with us!

Your neighbourhood

We live in the lovely village of Dartington, which is on the outskirts of Totnes.
Our nearest cities are Plymouth (25 miles) and Exeter (30 miles).
We have a village shop just a few minutes walk away as well as the unique Shops at Dartington complex (famous for Dartington crystal).
Our cottage is next to a minor road which is virtually empty during the day, yet can get busy at peak times.
There is a bus stop virtually opposite our cottage and the historic town of Totnes is a great place to visit. A boat trip down the River Dart to Dartmouth is a must!
Dartmoor is a short drive away and there a wide variety of beaches to explore too.
