Our home

Lovely house with 3 double bedrooms and one single bedroom. One of the double bedrooms has an en suite shower. One double bedroom with double bed. One double bedroom with two single beds and a small room with Bunk beds. Very spacious kitchen. Off street parking.
Our quaint little village is mentioned in the Domesday Book. Carshalton train station is 10 minute walk away with trains into The City and West End every 30 minutes.
There is lots to do in the village which has a leisure centre and even a small theatre. Sutton town centre is 10 minute walk away and has a large mall and plenty of shops. There is a huge Primark (the ladies will know what I mean ☺) and lots of cafés and bars. We also have a prize winning real ale pub that is just around the corner, a prize winning Indian take away and a lovely Chinese take away that works out of a converted cottage! We are just on the outskirts of SW London and very close to lots of countryside which is a short car ride away. Our two grown up children both live in Los Angeles and we try and visit them whenever we can so are open to dates which suit you. We have just returned from a month long exchange with a couple from Pasadena and can't wait to go back!

Property features

Who we are

  1. We love classic American cars. We have a 1959 Chevrolet El Camino that we keep in storage in the USA and use it when we are there.
We are a semi retired couple that love to travel and see our two grown up children that both live in the USA. We are new grandparents and are completely besotted with our little Felix and Matilda so try and come and visit as often as we can. In our spare time we restore classic British sports cars. We always have a few cars in our yard so there will more than likely be a few of them when you visit. We are very young at heart and find that we can get on with most people whether they're 20 or 80! Our son is an editor of a magazine and our daughter is an English nanny. Our little grandchildren keep us on our toes!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

There is lots of history connected with our little village. Anne Boleyn's Well is situated in front of the 12th Century church that overlooks the beautiful park and ponds. Honeywood House has a museum that tells the story of Carshalton. We are also famous for our Lavendar Fields. The village has a lovely bakery, lots of old pubs and cafés and even a leisure centre. So you won't be bored. Brighton is approximately a 45 minute car journey away. As I mentioned before London is very easy to get to by train (30 minutes) we also have an excellent bus service.
