Our home

There is light, space & comfort in abundance in our welcoming house. Ten people can dine around the family room table while looking out onto a decked balcony & pergola above a lovely secluded back garden that slopes away to the south. An attractive glass balustrade reveals pleasant views towards nearby woods & farmlands.

A split level lounge that seats eleven also opens onto the balcony through nice French doors and into an adjacent study. Underneath is a large den that houses drums & guitars. At the side of the house is a garage that is used as a weights room. The front drive is paved & can park up to five cars.

There is Oak flooring throughout the house, slate in the kitchen/hall & ceramics & polished granite in the bathrooms. The oak fitted kitchen is open-plan, there is a nice island, the worktops are black polished granite & there is a big American style fridge & freezer. The kitchen opens into a utility that contains a large washing machine & large tumble dryer.

There are six good-sized bedrooms, they all have double beds. The three on the ground floor are on the north side of the building so they are nice & cool on hot summer nights. There is walk in shower room & WC upstairs. Four bedrooms have en-suites. There is a separate downstairs WC.

The bedrooms & study have broadband internet & TV's. Other cool stuff includes X-Box live, PlayStation 3, & a Wii. There is a 42inch wall mounted TV in the lounge that has all the Sky & Sentanta channels.

We are new to home-swapping. Our dog lodges with the in-laws while we are away. We like sports & activities, particularly tennis, golf & rounders but we also like beaches & relaxing.
