We love our home and our home town of Sunderland. We welcome you warmly to enjoy a very pleasant stay here. Our home is spacious and comfortable with three main bedrooms on the first floor, one double room which has an on suite bathroom, two good sized single bedrooms and an attic room bedroom with a double bed. In fact there is a second attic room which also has a single bed if you needed more space. There is also a family bathroom on the first floor. On the ground floor we have a cosy sitting room with a corner sofa and a wall mounted 50 inch TV, great for watching movies! The ground floor is open plan with a dining room and kitchen and a sun room looking on to the garden. The garden has a patio with two sets of tables and chairs for relaxing on a sunny day, and a nice sized garden with a double swing and trampoline, great for keeping young children entertained!
We are a hard working, fun loving family of four. Myself, Chris, a teacher of Philosophy, my wife, Cherie, an artist and support teacher in a school for children with special needs, and our 2 boys Kael, aged 14 and Isaac, aged 9 who
also love travel! Cherie and I are in our early 40's. When we are not working , skiing at the local sports complex, walking our dog, a labradoodle called Marcy, watching movies or socializing with friends and their children who live nearby.
Our home is and close to all of the local amenities you could need and much more. There are a number of very nice restaurants in the local area and a sports complex with a swimming pool, tennis courts and a dry ski slope. The city centre is 10mins away and boasts an indoor 'winter gardens', park, museums, a theatre, a cinema, an indoor shopping centre, countless restaurants and bars, and coastline. Sunderland is well positioned to visit a number of nearby historic towns and cities such as Durham with its famous Cathedral and Newcastle Upon Tyne, a bustling modern city with a historic heritage. Within 1.5 to 2 hours driving distance you can visit the Lake District in Cumbria to enjoy hiking in a national park of unparalleled natural beauty, visit historic Anlwick castle or Kielder Forest in Northumberland, the Yorkshire Dales, or the historic walled city of York in Yorkshire. We believe you too will fall in love with the North East of England!
