Our home

Our house has a cottage-style exterior with a fully modernised interior, which was extended in 2006 and fully refurbished. The photographs do not do the house justice. Situated in the quaint 'Old Town' part of Stratford on Avon, it is within five minutes' easy walking distance of the theatres, museums, shops, restaurants and the river Avon. There are two double bedrooms, one single bedroom, a further single room downstairs, and two lounges, both with sofa-beds. The house sleeps up to nine people, depending upon requirements. Downstairs has hardwood flooring throughout.

The rear garden is private and sunny, with bench seating and a table, and barbecue facilities.
There is off-road car parking for one car and a permit for roadside parking for a second car. There is an excellent gastro-pub close to the house.

Who we are

  1. We are Jan and John and have three teenagers living at home. We like holidaying in general and are keen to go to new places. The whole family likes to ski/snowboard, but we also enjoy the sun and visiting cities.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Stratford on Avon is the historic birthplace of the playright William Shakespeare, whose grave is approximately 300 yards away. Its three theatres regularly perform Shakespeare's plays, together with a wide variety of other theatrical works. Shopping is a delight in Stratford, with many designer and quirky shops, as well as the weekly market. Many of Stratford's medieval buildings have survived, including Shakespeare's birthplace. You may want to stay in Stratford and visit its many museums, butterfly farm, and hire a boat on the River Avon. Or you may wish to travel further afield. The cities of Oxford, Birmingham and Coventry are approximately an hour's drive away. The historic towns of Warwick and Kenilworth, plus the whole of the beautiful Cotswolds, are also very close. Whatever type of holiday you want, the house is an ideal base for this picturesque part of England.
