Our home

Our home is a large comfortable Victorian house in east London. The house has many traditional Victorian features and is modern, warm and comfortable. We have a large family kitchen with an Aga and large dining table, large living room and study, four large bedrooms and two bathrooms. A TV/games room with double sofa bed and TV/video, wii, x-box consoles. The small but pretty garden has two seating areas a childs climbing frame and swing. There is a full size table football table and lots of games, books and toys for children. There are several bikes.

Who we are

  1. We are both involved in education; Lesley is an education officer working with children with Special Needs, and Simon teaches at a nearby secondary school. Our Children are 18 (Robbie) and 15 (Rachel), we also have a foster daughter, Awa who is 16. They enjoy participating in sports and the theatre.
    We mainly use our bicycles to get around the area, and whole family enjoy cycling holidays.

Stratford is a vibrant and exciting, urban area with a distinct multi-cultural character. It was the site for the Olympic games in 2012 - the aquatics and velo centres and the park are now open for public use.
Shops, cafes and restaurants reflect the varied communities.
Stratford is a transport hub with trains going to the city and the west end, which are 20 minutes away.
Westfield Shopping Centre is near the station and Olympic site, it is the biggest mall in Europe.
Stratford also has an excellent theatre, The Theatre Royal.
The house is opposite a large park, which has tennis courts, an excellent children's playground and an ornamental garden.
