This is our home, Osborne House, which is a lovely, spacious and bright period house bursting with original features and charm over three floors. It was built in 1891 by a gentleman who used to work for Queen Victoria and frequented her holiday residence - Osborne House - in the Isle of Wight, and he named this house after there.
We are located in The Old Quarter Of Stourbridge in the center of England, a small area filled with attractive period properties. We are almost finished completely renovating the decor in the house after purchasing it 12 months ago - it will be ready for you to come and enjoy it :-)
The house has 5 bedrooms, 4 bedrooms in the main house and the 5th in the coach house - which is attached to the main house. The coach house has a double bedroom and bathroom. The main house has a family bathroom and two other WCs. We have attic rooms which are great spaces for children to discover.
Downstairs we have a drawing room with a real log fire and we use this room as the grown up's sitting room. There is another sitting room, which the children have for their use. A dining room with table to seat up to 12 with views of the back garden. A 35ft fully equipt kitchen-diner whihc includes a snug area with a log burner and a large cozy corner sofa which seats 10.
There is a large private garden outside.
We have a park at either end of the road, a traditional local pub with log fires is a 2min walk away, another 2 pubs within 5 mins walk and several supermarkets within 10min walking distance. The train station is a 10-15min walk and it links you to Birmingham (25mins), Stratford Upon Avon (home of Shakespeare) 1.5h and London (2.2h). From Birmingham you can access the entire country by train.
