Our home

Our large stone built bungalow is located in the border town of Barnoldswick, 8 miles from the market town of Skipton, gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. It has 2 main bedrooms,large kitchen and separate dining room and a small conservatory.It is equiped with central heating.
It also has an outside'studio' which can sleep 2 people and is attached to the single garage.
There is a small enclosed,paved back patio/garden with fruit trees.
It is a 5 minute walk into the cosy town square which features small independent shops including several coffee shops,bakers,butchers,post office,chemist,doctor's surgery,pub and several other small shops.
There is a town bus which stops outside our house and runs every 30 minutes.
Also in the town are several churches, 4 more pubs, 2 small supermarkets,Barclays bank and several other assorted shops and estate agents.

If you are an outdoor lover then this location is perfect. Step outside the front door and within a matter of minutes you can take your pick from dozens of countryside walks, many of them listed in our Walking Group's guidebook of local walks.(copy available).
The Leeds-Liverpool canal is close by with a half hour walk to a canal side pub.
If you are a more adventurous type then a little further afield is Pendle Hill,with marvelous views from the top: Skipton,with its small but perfectly preserved castle; the famous Ilkley Moor and the lovely town of Ilkley. the beautiful Forest of Bowland,and of course the stunning Yorkshire Dales.

There is a very good Italian restaurant and two Indian restaurants. Most of the local pubs do very good meals
