Who we are

  1. We are Keith & Liz, two professional people post fifty. Keith was an engineer when in fully time employment but is now semi-retired, keeping busy with a part time post. Liz runs a training and education company for pre and post 16 students. The majority of time we would be travelling as a couple but might travel with family or friends bringing us to four or six. We love travelling and exploring new countries and will view any possibilities.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The 'The Original Seaside House' named by our grandchildren has been in the family since my childhood; some time ago! The property is a small house tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Southwold, an ancient market town and seafront. Walk out onto the street and you are two minutes from the local pub, beach and shops. If you don't want to use the car for the duration of your stay you don't have to as everything is within walking distance. Southwold is the home of the award winning brewery Adnams as well as a fully restored pier and light house. The town has not grown over the years remaining small and select. There are a good range of general shops, galleries, restaurants and antique outlets. In the summer there is also a theatre and a small ferry to the next village; Walberswick. Further a field you will find a wealth of places to interest every taste, historic, modern, gardens. Although the property is based in Suffolk you are a short journey from Norfolk and the Broads. Throughout the year there are a number of events from literary festivals to county shows, the area also attracts many bird watchers as there is an abundance of wild life.
