Who we are

  1. I, Hannah, am a secondary maths teacher, my husband, Paul, is a transport operations manager. We have 4 children, (although the eldest two Tom and Robert at 21 and 19 are not likely to be coming with us - they will undoubtedly be away on various adventures!); Michael 18 and Alice 17 will be with us. They are well trained and have house-swapped many times before. We have had lovely swaps to San Francisco, Denmark and New York state as well as many places within the UK.
We have no real plans for the summer - we're open to suggestions though. We like to explore the local area and enjoy adventurous activities like kayaking, white water rafting and canyoning, (I do leave that one to the kids now though!)

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Leigh-on-sea is a lovely small town renowned for its individual high street with independent shops, bars and restaurants. Leigh is famous for its cockling history which can still be seen in the old town with its cobbled streets, historic pubs and own beach. You can even pick up the morning's catch fresh from the Leigh Fisherman's co-op.
Leigh was recently named by the Times as one of the top 5 places to live in the UK . Leigh is a 45 minute direct train to central London - and if you are keen on Mountain Biking the Olympic course is now open to the public - only a mile up the road in Hadleigh Castle Country Park!!
Southend-on-sea with its own theme park, amusements, shops, cinemas, boat trips and the world's longest pleasure pier along with over 6 miles of beaches is a ten minute drive.
