Our home

My lovely, modern home is in a very quiet cul de sac, a 5 minute walk to a bus stop or a ten minute drive into town and the seafront. It is only a short walk to a quality supermarket where you can sit in a welcoming cafe area with a free fresh coffee. There is also a large, new, garden centre with a restaurant, just a few minutes drive. You can walk along the picturesque riverside setting into town, a fifteen minute walk. The bungalow has been totally refurbished over the past 3 years, everything has been replaced and modernised. The spacious kitchen with breakfast bar is light and airy with ivory coloured units and light oak worktops, the floor is also light oak. There is a large fridge freezer, fitted hob and oven, dishwasher and a radiator for the colder months. The washing machine and drier are in the garage. There is a rear kitchen door to the garden, via a useful porch. The new, white bathroom has a large bath, walk in shower cubicle, w.c. and a large wash basin set in a vanity unit. The floor has warm Karndean tiles and there is a floor to ceiling ladder radiator. There is a separate new cloakroom with a WC, and washbasin in a vanity unit. There is a large square hallway which the rooms are off of and a large airing cupboard/storage which houses the new unvented hot water system (constant hot water). There is a large flat screen TV with over 100 channels. The lounge/dining room is large with sliding patio doors which open onto a south facing spacious, paved terrace and a wrap around, south facing garden. The rear garden has views over fields, hills and the surrounding countryside. There is also a refurbished garden room attached to the rear of the garage. The sunroom has electricity and heating and is a cosy place to sit in the winter and relax. The 2 double bedrooms are decorated in neutral colours with new fitted wardrobes and new carpets, both have views over the front garden. Both bedrooms are doubles, one has a King size bed with a new quality matress, the other has a double bed. The whole property is light, airy and modern. The gardens are south facing, large and full of colourful shrubs(in the Spring and Summer). The property has free, high speed wifi. The nearest main train station is a 20 minute drive (Honiton) and has direct links to Central London (a 3 hour journey). Exeter airport is a 15 minute drive from here. Exeter City with its many shops, museum and Cathedral is a 30 minute drive or 45 minutes on the bus from here. There is a beautiful Quay area with shops and restaurants in Exeter. There is also a University. Cornwall is only a two and a half hour drive from here, well worth a visit.

Your neighbourhood

Sidmouth is a unique seaside town that people come to for its slower pace of life and stunning surrounding countryside. However in the summer it is busy with holidaymakers, especially during Folk Festival week (first week in August), It is unspoilt and the town retains much of its original Georgian and Victorian architecture. There are many independent interesting shops. There is a promenade which overlooks the sandy beach and the sea, with views along the Jurassic coastline. Along the promenade are hotels, cafes, restaurants and shops. There is also a watersports centre and an indoor swimming pool. The town centre retains its original charm, with many interesting lndependant shops and cafes.Sidmouth has a lovely cinema showing the latest movies, as well as a charming theatre. There are countryside walks straight from the town centre. Exeter is a large, vibrant, city with a university and a cathedral, only a 30 minute drive by car or a 45 minute bus ride from Sidmouth.. Here you will find major clothes shops, restaurants, nightlife, a beautiful quay and a unique museum. Exeter airport is a 20 minute drive from Sidmouth and London Heathrow is a 3.5 hour drive. The new medical centre is a 5 minute drive away. Waitrose (an upmarket Supermarket with free coffee) is a five minute walk away.
