Our home

Our modern house is in Shepherd's Bush, a vibrant and multi-cultural area. We have two good sized double bedrooms, a study and bathroom upstairs - and kitchen and comfortable living and dining area downstairs.

Our house is not the prettiest from the outside but inside it's stylishly decorated in a mix of modern and 20th Century styles. We have lots of interesting artworks and a cloud mural on the staircase painted by a well known graffiti artist.

We are keen gardeners and have a well looked after garden with seating area that's perfect for relaxing after day's sightseeing. We also have off street parking.

Who we are

  1. We are a couple in our thirties, working in a charity and in television drama at the BBC. This is the first time we've tried a house swap but we would take good care of your home.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Shepherd's Bush is close to Notting Hill, Portobello Market, the museums in Kensington, Harrods, the BBC, Westfield shopping centre, Richmond, Earls Court, Chelsea and the Thames river.

Our house is a fifteen minute walk (or five minute bus ride) to three different tube lines (Central, Hammersmith and City and District) and there are several bus routes at the end of the road. The Central line takes 12 minutes to get you to Oxford Circus in central London. The district line takes you to Kew Gardens or Victoria and Westminster. It's an easy taxi ride to Heathrow airport costing about £25.

There are lots of interesting restaurants, food shops and ethnic supermarkets close by and an award winning gastro-pub one minute walk away. Our neighbourhood has lots of pubs and bars, including Albertines, the local hangout for BBC staff, the stylish Queen Victoria, which was once a gin palace, and lots of traditional English pubs.

For football (soccer) fans the local team is Queens Park Rangers (newly promoted to the premiership) and their stadium is a few minutes walk away.
