We are Judy and Mike: both retired teachers. We are keen to complete our 'round Australia travels and have not as yet visited Darwin and the Northern part of Northern Territory. We have visited Australia and New Zealand on several occasions often enjoying interesting stopovers on our round the world tickets, destinations have included Hawaii, Fiji and Samoa.
We enjoy travelling in America and Canada also seek more visits there.
We have young grandsons living in Aberdeen, Scotland and like to visit there a few times a year, so would be interested in exchanges within the UK "enroute".
We are open to any interesting exchange suggestions. We have been exchanging our home for holidays since 1980, we have completed about over 35 exchanges. In former years we exchanged homes with families because we have 6 children, now it is just us! Our home is NOT available in UK school holidays, as we are frequently busy with our grandchildren at those times (Christmas, Easter, July and August), but in term time we like to travel. We have a few outstanding non simultaneous commitments to fulfill with dates as yet unconfirmed: Otherwise we are very flexible - try us. We like to really experience the countries we visit, two to three months away is the ideal for us, with a mix of short (eg 7-14 days) exchanges and camping (we bring our own camping gear). We like to travel around and about so would not intend to stay in an exchange home for the whole of the exchange period. Most of our visitors do the same, taking advantage of the opportunity to explore Great Britain. We are quite happy to overlap with exchange partners and share catering where that suits as we have plenty of space outside school holiday times.
Non-simultaneous exchanges are very welcome, and particularly suited to those exchanging from Australia and New Zealand. We enjoy meeting our visitors, then we go away in our caravan whilst they enjoy staying in our home.
