Our home

The house is a large modern brick dwelling built in the early 1960s. All rooms are large. The kitchen has a large 6 ring cooker and is open plan into the dining room. the living room runs from the dining room and has a large conservatory access to the back garden, which is completely private. We do have guinea pigs, gerbils and fish, which hopefully you might be prepared to feed in our absence. Upstairs we have 3 bedrooms and an office and large bathroom with bath and standalone shower. We have a garage and private parking, also street parking.

Your neighbourhood

Old Ryton Village is a historic village, approximate age 1700. we are bang splat in the middle near the village green and historic church, access to Ryton Willow and the river tyne is only a matter of minutes. Along the river is an 8 mile circular walk with several pubs on route, the location is rural but very close the metrocentre for shopping and Newcastle City Centre for shops/theatre etc. Extremely popular village, easy access to the west and hadrians wall, edinburgh only 2 hours on the train, york 1 hour on the train, the lake district 2 hours by car. perfect touring centre. local village has several pubs and a few shops including bank, chemist, supermarket etc. perfect for staying put or alternatively travelling all over.
