Our home

We are 2 minutes from the beach. 45 Minutes from Ski Resort. We have recently moved to a new house beside the beach. The house has 3 bedrooms, 1 large shower room upstairs with 2 double bedrooms, one with king size bed, 1 with double bed. Downstairs has 1 bedroom with 2 single beds bath/shower room as well. Large brand new kitchen, dining room and large comfortable lounge. every window has views of the sea. There is an airport just outside Inverness which from here is approx 20 miles, buses will take you to Inverness, then back to Fortrose. Every room is newly decorated. We have done a number of house swaps during the years and have never had a bad experience yet. People have been very respectful of our home and we have been of theirs. Our home is spotlessly clean and tidy and that is all we ask in return is that you leave it as you find it, we will leave your home as we find it.

Your neighbourhood

There is a links golf course the house looks on to the 9th hole clubhouse through the path and round the corner, it also serves food and drinks, tennis, sailing, horse riding, museums in and around Fortrose (our village) Cromarty and Rosemarkie. We also have an ancient cathedral and lots of lovely historical buildings and lovely walks to see the dolphins which you can occasionally see from the house. There is also a very interesting walk to Eathie beach where you will find lots of different fossils. Some good place to eat in Avoch, Fortrose, Rosemarkie and Cromarty which are well worth a visit.

Cromarty is a very interesting little village to visit, it has lovely restaurant, hotel and lots of very interesting history attached, Courthouse museum, car ferry to take you further north and across the Cromarty Firth to Easter Ross and lots more lovely walks and things to see and do.
