Lovely Victorian cottage in the heart of Kew Gardens near the tube station which runs straight into Central London. We recently renovated the house but it still has a lot of original charm.
The spacious open-plan kitchen has tradition AGA style stove but we also have a built-in fan oven. Bi folding doors open out onto the patio and small garden. We have a garden table and 4 chairs and a large parasol for shade. There a gas barbecue in the garden.
The living room has a wood burning stove. The built in television connects to wifi. We have subscription to Netflix and NowTV too. There is a downstairs toilet under the stairs.
The main bedroom is light and has a king size bed. At the moment the second bedroom has a cotbed in it.
There's also a sofa bed (little bigger than a single) in the living room which is very comfy and we also have a double blow mattress that could fit in the single room, living room or kitchen. It's actually really comfortable, as high as a normal bed and blows up with a build in electric pump.
Bathroom has a open top bath and a separate shower cubicle.
We are Mark and Victoria - a married couple in out 40s and we have a 3 year old daughter Rose. Both professionals we have lived in the area for 5 years. We are new to home exchange and excited about the prospect of our first exchange. We like eating out, walking and would love to stay by the sea. We would be happy to pass on details of all our favourite haunts. Kew Gardens is very safe and family friendly. We hope you'll enjoy our home as much as we do.
The house is located in a quiet cul de sac of just 16 other cottages (so no traffic) and two minutes walk from Kew Village. There you can find cafes, tea shops, restaurants, pubs and food shops. Only two minutes walk to the tube station (District line) which takes 30 minutes into central London. The world famous Kew Gardens is a five minute walk away. Richmond is our nearest large town and is only five minutes on the tube or a 30 minutes walk along the river path.
We have a automatic Renault Scenic you can use if you can arrange insurance. It's nothing special but a handy run around.
